Pensions in payment
Pensions are paid monthly in advance on the 1st of each month, where this falls on a weekend or UK bank holiday the pension will be paid on the last working day of the previous month. Please click below for monthly payroll dates.
If you wish to change your bank account please do not close your old account until you have received confirmation that our records have been updated, we will confirm what date your pension will be paid to your new account.
Tax queries
The Trustee receives tax code updates through the Government Real Time Information (RTI) data exchange. If we receive a revised tax code, we will apply the change to your next available pension payment. We will add any tax refund, or apply any further tax you need to pay, at the same time.
The BP Pension Fund administration team cannot help you with queries on your tax code as we do not have information on other sources of income you may have. Please direct all queries about the amount of tax you pay, or your tax code, to HM Revenue & Customs.
Please ensure you quote your National Insurance number and the HMRC PAYE reference code.
